College bucket list
Many students go through everyday thinking about what kind of activities are available for enjoyment during one’s free time. In many situations students have no idea on what kind of events and entertainment is offered to one aside from the normal dinner and a movie.
What is a college bucket list you ask? A college bucket list is a list of things such as, events, activities, and places that a college student would like to take part in before graduation day arrives.
The items on the list can be as simple as “having a picnic in the park” or “baking a cake”. They can also be considered more meaningful to the person who makes the list such as; “writing a letter to a loved one” or “doing a good deed”. They can even be more on the extreme side of activities such as, “Swimming with dolphins” or “zip lining”. The list all depends on who is writing and what each individual wants to accomplish before graduation.
“Before I created a college bucket list I didn’t know what I wanted to do before graduation, I had thoughts and ideas but would end up forgetting most of them because I never wrote it down. Then I made my bucket list and now I don’t go one week without crossing an item off of my list.” Said, Christopher Rivera- Current Student.
After a survey taken of current college students, we were able to compile a list of ideas to help you create your very own college bucket list. Ours is arranged in three categories: simple, meaningful, and extreme. Have fun creating your college bucket list!

I like the concept of creating A College Bucket List for a few reasons. College is definitely a phase in life where the days seem to fly right past you and somehow 24 hours is not enough time to get everything done. This could be a really positive way to slow college students down, and allow for a day of rest and leisure. Test, essays, projects-all of these things can get quite overwhelming and exhausting. Why not take a break from the monotony of school life and indulge in a treat for yourself? Kaitlan offers some meaningful ideas to add to a bucket list: volunteering or making someone’s day. These two would definitely make a student feel good about themselves- and when you feel good, you do good. Even a simple picnic to enjoy the weather or an extreme sky dive would allow for a moment to enjoy life and not be so serious. As we all know, there’s a time to play and there’s a time to work, but maybe this Bucket List idea will be a reminder to students to stop and smell the roses.
