Now, Publix has released a completely free app for your smartphone that can keep track of all of these great deals as well as a few other intriguing aspects that could easily make one’s shopping experience more manageable.

  There are only two steps you have to take in order to fully utilize this great application. First, you have to create a MyPublix account, which can be done at the store’s website. You visit Publix’s mobile website and create an account that only requires your basic information to sign up. From there, you just have to download the app (available on iPhone and Android devices) and you’re good to go! The information you use to register your account is used to configure your closest or preferred store. Once you have a preferred store, the information, location, hours of operations, and even a “call store” button are located in a tab on the bottom of the screen. This makes it easier to communicate and interact with your Publix store of choice.

  Inside the app there are many sections that can be explored. The Weekly Ad section is a digital version of the store’s weekly paper ad. This section lists all of the items that are on sale each week and are categorized by department (bakery, meat, produce, etc.). There is also a virtual grocery list that can be used to keep track of what the shopper needs on their trip and even has a section that tells what aisle the item is located at within the store. Apron’s recipes can be found on the app as well. This section has weekly recipes for good and simple meals that can be sampled in store. There’s even a pharmacy tab can help people keep track of what prescriptions they get and when they need a refill.
