New flight of American Airline in the north Haiti
Oct. 2, 2014, American Airlines inaugurated a new flight to Cap-Haitian; this is the first time in this city’s history. The government of Haiti put a lot of effort together to attract tourists in the county, along with some private institutions that target the students market in countries like the U.S., Canada, and France.
The president of Haiti, Michel Martelly, who was also on board the American Airline’s flight, expressed great satisfaction and said, that he is proud of his team for the wonderful work they are doing.
Haiti’s Minister of Tourism, Stephanie Villedrouin, on the other hand, praised the efforts of some members of the private sector for helping in the process, “We could not have done it without the support of our sisters and brothers abroad.”
This flight represent different things for different people.

The Haitian revolution not only started there at Bois Caiman, but it also ended there. It was during the Vertiere battle when Haitians finally defeated the French.
If you are not into history, you may want to simply visit a wonderful beach. Cap-Haitien is known for Labadee, a private own beach that receives over 50,000 tourists weekly. Haiti is becoming a major tourist destination, said Jean Monestime, a Miami-Dade Commissioner, and “we are glad that American Airlines is part of the process by being able to offer its services to the northern part of Haiti.” American Airlines only has one flight a day in Cap-Haitian for now, Molina Isis, service specialist for American Airlines, says that they are looking for to having more in the future.
