Hillsborough Community College softball
Hillsborough Community College Softball team split a double header on March 21st against St. Petersburg College. The Lady Hawks won the first game 5-3, but dropped the second game 8-4. The first game which was played at home in Plant City Stadium at 5:00 PM, was an exciting game which featured Amber Hay who led the way with two runs batted in and a stolen base.
In the second game the Lady Hawks made had four errors that lead to the loss. There were a few highlights for H.C.C in the second game of their double header which got underway at 7:00 PM. though, such as, a homerun from Kim Booker, and a double as well as two runs batted in by Madison Gonzales. The Lady Hawks have won their last four out of six games and were on a four game winning streak before their second game against St. Pete. The Lady Hawks are (29-16 overall, 3-0 conference) and have an 11-7 home record, while also holding a 12-6 away record.
