Kayla Downey is a Staff Writer for The Hawkeye

Kayla Downey, 20, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and moved to Tampa during high school. She is currently pursuing an Associates degree in Mass Communications at Hillsborough Community College and hopes to continue her education in Elementary Education at the start of next year. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, watching anything hockey, and finding new local restaurants.
